The Chamblee Chamber of Commerce will officially open its new offices during the monthly after-hours mixer on Tuesday, May 12, 2014.
The mixer runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 5382 Peachtree Road, Chamblee, GA 30341. Food and beverages will be provided.
Admission is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. First-time guests can attend for free.
Apr. 3, 2014 – ATLANTA — Chamblee.- The newly formed Chamblee Chamber of Commerce announces its first official event; a business luncheon & forum co-hosted with the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce featuring a keynote address by Sam Zamarripa, the first Hispanic to serve in the Georgia State Senate (2003-2007) and current Co-Chairman of “The Essential Economy Council”; a bipartisan, nonprofit organization that creates research and educates on the value, patterns and trends of low wage positions in the state.
The event will take place at the Chamblee Civic Center on April 16th at 11:30am (3540 Broad St., Chamblee, GA, 30341)
“We are excited to host this Business Luncheon in our house and discuss such key issues as immigration and workforce that directly affects our business community. Chamblee is one of the most diverse cities in the county with over 58% Hispanics/Latinos plus a wide variety of minorities, representing over 25 different countries, within its city limits” noted Arthur Freeman, CEO of the newly formed Chamblee Chamber of Commerce.

Chamblee business owners will have a stronger voice in the community, the county and the state trough the new Chamber of Commerce that will start operating in April 2.
According to its CEO Art Freeman, the Chamblee Chamber expects to have more than 250 members and will represent the interests of many businesses and trade associations as an independent business advocacy organization.
“What the Chamblee Chamber of Commerce can do that business association cannot is get involved at the political level not just within the city politics but to the national level because the chamber represents the entire spectrum of governmental affairs,” Freeman said.
